Where to start?

The first thing to be clear about is which of our products and services best suit your requirements. Codeweavers offer services that facilitate three broad groups of products; motor finance, motor insurance and gap insurance. Once you have decided which you will be working on you next will need to decide which delivery mechanism offers the best solution in your circumstances.

Which type of service?


Soap

The Soap web service enables the quotations to be directly integrated into your website. You have complete control over how the information returned is displayed.

Benefits;
  • Can be fully integrated into your website
  • Quotes can be shown against each vehicle on a listing page
  • You control how the information is displayed on your website
Limitations;
  • Developers require knowledge of XML or Soap services
  • Will take longer to add to your website than Rest

Embedded

The embedded solution is a fully hosted solution that offers a higher level of integration than Linked, while remaining relatively simple to integrate.

Benefits;
  • Fast to implement
  • Less likely developers will be required
  • Looks like part of your website
Limitations;
  • Look and feel changes are limited to basic CSS alterations
  • Quotations are displayed on a light-box type pop-up
  • Not available for pages displaying multiple vehicles

Linked

Also known as the “white label” solution, is a web site that you link to in order to offer quotations.

Benefits;
  • Speed of implementation
  • No need to involve developers at any stage
  • No cost if standard branding is used
  • Looks like part of your website
Limitations;
  • Look and feel changes are limited to basic CSS alterations and certain image changes
  • Not possible to embed within your stock
  • Customers are required to manually select a vehicle

What’s the process?

Decide if you require the “white label” motor insurance pages branding to your specific requirements for which there is a small charge (speak to your Codeweavers contact for details) or do you want to use the standard Lloyd Latchford branding at no cost.

If you do require the branded solution we will need directions or examples as to what is required. This typically is done by referring our designers to an existing web site, they will then do their best to make the motor insurance white label look as much a part of the existing web site as possible (we have a range of examples demonstrating the effectiveness of white label branding).

Notify your Codeweavers contact which solution you require at which point we will issue a contract that covers the details of commission payable and describes the arrangements covering FSA regulation.

When we receive the contract back with where applicable payment for the branding we will complete the work to set-up the new instance of the motor insurance web site for you.

Finally we will send a unique link for your web designers to add to your site.

Note: In order to maximise commissions from motor insurance sales on your site we would recommend prominent links or even buttons and banners promoting the facility. Unless you are FSA authorised you cannot “sell” the insurance but you are free to actively direct customers to the facility so that the can decide for them selves if they wish to purchase.

The process is as follows;

Review our documentation.

Decide if you intend to implement your own question form or use Codeweavers’ generic version. We would strongly suggest that where possible you use the Codeweavers implementation as it is tried and tested and fully validated.

Decide where on your site you intend to put the link to the form to collect the required customer data and decide where you will display the motor insurance quotations.

Notify your Codeweavers contact that you would like to proceed with an implementation of the motor insurance web service at which point we will issue a contract that covers the details of commission payable and describes the arrangements covering FSA regulation.

When we receive the contract back with where applicable payment for the branding, we will set-up credentials for the web service.

Finally we will send a unique link for your developers to link to for the insurance fulfilment.
