The Challenge for the Business
British Credit Trust (BCT) is a finance company dedicated to financing cars for people who have suffered from credit problems in the past. Because they specialise in this area (they financed cars worth more than £200 million last year) they can tailor a loan to meet a customer's specific needs.
BCT are always looking to improve rates of customer retention, and to this end approached Codeweavers to design and supply an application that would add real value to the traditional BCT offering and in turn drive forward the customer experience.
The Solution
Codeweavers supplied BCT with an application that catered for several areas of their business:
NEW CARS: by adopting the Codeweavers 'Cara' system, BCT are now able to offer new vehicles to their consumers. These vehicles can have options specified by the customer, and the application also comes with the proven 'YourCarLoan' and 'YourCarMotorInsurance' services built in - allowing the customer to tailor their own new car finance and insurance quotes.
USED CARS: Codeweavers supplied the interactive finance and insurance calculators for integration with the BCT used car stock module. Again, this provided an extremely positive web experience to the customer.
MOTOR INSURANCE: As well as the integrated insurance service, Codeweavers also supplied their 'white label' version of the insurance platform to BCT. This allows BCT to also market their existing customer base with regards to Motor Insurance, thus creating an additional revenue stream as well as increasing customer retention.
The End Result
Steve Kenchington, Sales Director of BCT, is especially pleased with the look and feel of the application. The web customer experience has been enhanced greatly, and the interactive nature of the site means that the consumer now has no reason to leave the BCT site to check monthly payments or insurance for their chosen vehicle - a true 'one stop shop'.
